Bed Frame
Furnishing a bedroom is a bigger task than it first appears to be. On the surface, you only really need a few pieces of furniture: a bed, side tables, lamps. But scratch the surface and you realise the myriad options for each piece are enough to send any experienced furniture shopper. From Scandi minimalism to bohemian eclecticism, deciding on an aesthetic can be more difficult than finding the pieces to go with it.
Dedicating some more consideration to your bedroom’s décor makes sense though. It’s the only room in your house that’s specifically yours, and it should be a space where you can unwind and recharge. It should be a sanctuary, a safe haven, an escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Plus, given that humans spend approximately one third of our lives asleep, we’re bound to spend a lot of time there.
Whether you’re on the hunt for the perfect art deco-inspired bed frame or are seeking unique light fixtures to give the room a warm glow, there’s certainly no shortage of furniture stores out there stocking furniture and décor to suit every aesthetic. But as they say, too many choices is a prison, and it’s easy to get swept up in the sheer range on offer. Fortunately, Vogue Living has streamlined the pursuit for you, rounding up the best bedroom furniture brands for every taste to help you avoid bedroom bedlam.
Maintenance and care Bed Frame
- How should I clean my Bed?
The only maintenance necessary for your bed is periodic cleaning. First, hose down the bedroom furniture with fresh water. Avoid spraying the frame with a high pressure hose, as high pressure can erode the surface of the timber. Next, scrub the wet indoor furniture using a soft bristle brush and a solution of 2/3 cup laundry detergent and 1/4 cup bleach in 1 gallon of warm water. When finished, rinse the entire piece with more fresh water to remove any remaining cleaning solution. - How should I care for bed frame?
If you choose to use your furniture indoors, we suggest that you periodically apply a thin coat of paste wax. Doing so provides the teak with additional protection from natural body oils, dust, and dirt that may come in contact with the furniture.
